our story
'E leai se gaumata'u, na o le gaualofa.'
What you do in the name of love will live forever.
What you do in the name of love will live forever.
360 Tautua Trust was born in 2019 from a deep love for our Pacific Island elders and a shared vision to uplift them in their golden years. At the heart of our journey is the essence of a village—a concept that goes beyond just a physical space. For our Pacific elders, the village was not only a place, but a way of life, built on service, love, and care passed down through generations. When our parents and grandparents left their island homes, they crossed vast oceans, sacrificing everything they knew to create a brighter future for their children and the Pacific Island leaders of today and tomorrow. Though they had to rebuild in foreign lands, they never forgot their roots, carrying with them the values, culture, and legacy of their ancestors in everything they did.
Those values—service, faith, and love—are the foundation of 360 Tautua. Our mission is to give back to the elders who paved the way, ensuring they remain connected, thrive, and are honoured for their immeasurable contributions. Through our culturally rich programs, we celebrate their legacy, recognising that they are the pillars of our communities. In every action, we carry the strength of our village forward, bridging generations and honouring where we come from, ensuring that the spirit of the Pacific is alive and thriving in the generations to come.
How 360 Tautua Trust Was Formed:
360 Tautua Trust was born from the shared heart of a village that deeply values the care and honour of our elders. Growing up in the church, EFKS Otahuhu, played a huge role in shaping who I am. It was there that I was raised by many hands—hands that nurtured, supported, and guided me. These are the very hands that I now pray we serve through 360 Tautua. After losing my father, Rev. Elder Saletaulua Autagavaia, I saw how my mother’s life changed—she became isolated, and her health began to decline. Like many families, I longed to help her reconnect with a sense of community and belonging. From this need, 360 Tautua was created, a space where our elders could rediscover joy, purpose, and companionship in their golden years.
Our name "360 Tautua" reflects the full circle of life and service. Our elders, both those who came before us and those still with us, sacrificed so much to pave the way for future generations. They deserve to be honoured and cared for with the same love they showed us. Guided by the values of "Tautua ma le Alofa"—to serve with love—our programs are designed to ensure that future generations continue to cherish and respect not only the legacy of those who came before them but also the wisdom and presence of our elders today. For us, the village is more than a place; it’s a way of life, where every generation has a role in supporting the other. Through 360 Tautua, we carry forward the spirit of service, love, and connection, passing it on in a continuous circle of care.
